Customs Alert- Certain Watch Boxes Entitled to Substantial Duty Savings

This Customs Alert explains the recent U.S. Court of International Trade decision covering the tariff classification of certain types of imported watch boxes. This ruling significantly changes duty rates for certain watch boxes, which the court found to be disposable and not intended for long term use. Importers of similar products will immediately benefit from such substantial duty savings and may be eligible for duty refunds on their prior shipments.
