John R. Lane Has Become a Member of Our Firm

We are pleased to announce that John R. Lane has become a member of our firm.
John will continue his practice in intellectual property law, with an emphasis
on litigation in the patent, trade secret, trademark and
related practice areas. He is admitted in New York and is
also registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and
Trademark Office. He was formerly a partner with
Frommer Lawrence & Haug LLC.
John has over 25 years of diverse experience in the intellectual
property practice both in the U.S. and on an international scale. His
practice is concentrated in the areas of patent, trade secret and trademark
litigation before federal trial and appellate courts, including
bench and jury trials that have involved a wide range of technologies.
John’s client representations have ranged from famous high-end
consumer brands to high security smart-cards and RFID devices,
metallurgy, polymer chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceuticals,
computer software systems, and internet-based applications.
In addition to litigation, he has extensive experience in the preparation
and prosecution of patent and trademark applications, licensing
and opinion work on a wide range of intellectual property matters.
John is also qualified as a Barrister before the British Bar and
has been instrumental in founding the first American Inn of Court
chapter in Manhattan (the Denis McInerney/NYCLA American
Inn of Court), and the first intellectual property law specialty Inn
chapter in Manhattan, the William C. Conner Inn of Court (formed
in 2008). He has also published articles and presented lectures in
several areas of intellectual property law and advocacy.
