2006 Customs Triennial Report & User Fees

Submission of 2006 Triennial Status Report and Fees; and 2006 Local and National Permit User Fees

I. Triennial Report Customs announced in the November 22, 2005 Federal Register that the payment of the Triennial Fee and Status Report is due by February 28, 2006. The fee which is due every three years is $100. “Report and fees must be addressed to the director of the port that originally delivered the license to the broker.” A sample report is attached for your convenience.

II. User Fees A publication in the Federal Register on Monday, November 21, 2005 notified brokers that for 2006 “the due date for payment of the User Fee is January 20, 2006. The fee amount is $125 to be assessed for each Customs broker permit and National permit held by an individual, partnership, associate or corporation.” Checks are to be made payable to “Customs & Border Protection.” The fees are to be mailed or hand carried to the appropriate individual in each port. In accordance with 19 CFR 111.28(b), the payment should be accompanied with an updated list of all employees, including name, social security number, date and place of birth and current home address.
