Cowan, Liebowitz & Latman Named 2008 U.S. Copyright Firm of the Year

Our firm has been named the 2008 U.S Copyright Firm of the Year by the editors of the international publication, Managing Intellectual Property. MIP announced at an awards dinner held on April 3, 2008 in Washington DC that the firm had first been named the 2008 Northeast Copyright Firm of the Year and had then been selected for the national award from the short list of winners in the other regions of the country.
MIP derives the data for its awards from interviews and questionnaires submitted to practitioners concerning their own practices and those of other firms, and also from the views obtained from in-house counsel as to the outside counsel they use and that they recommend to others.
Those in the top tiers for each country surveyed received the most recommendations for their practice. MIP emphasizes that their survey “is not simply a list of the biggest firms, or a list of those that have the biggest caseload or are the oldest. Instead, it is a qualitative ranking of the leading firms in each category and reveals which firms are rated by their peers for the strength of their expertise and the depth of their ability to service clients.”
