In Memoriam – Albert Robin

We mourn the death of our esteemed colleague, mentor and law partner Albert Robin.  A powerhouse in the intellectual property field, he served in leadership and advisory positions in nearly every trademark bar association, including as former President of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association, Counsel for the International Trademark Association and a member of the United States Trademark Association’s Trademark Review Commission responsible for recommending important legislative changes to the federal trademark statute.  Although his five years with us at Cowan formed only a brief part of a remarkable career spanning more than four decades, he will long be remembered here for his sharp intellect, his unfailing loyalty to his clients and his daily zest for the practice of law.  We will endeavor to honor him as he would have wanted with our continued commitment to the trademark bar in the US and worldwide.  Our thoughts are with his entire family.
