Daniel is a patent attorney registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, with significant experience in representing technology clients in all aspects of intellectual property-related matters, including litigation, appeals and inter party reexamination proceedings (IPRs), and prosecuting patent applications in a variety of technologies, including computer software and hardware systems, wireless technologies, electronics, medical, surgical and optical devices, business methods, mechanical devices and other technologies.
Daniel has successfully represented clients in high profile patent infringement, trade secret and copyright jury and bench trials, arbitration proceedings and appeals involving patents and other intellectual property covering computer software and hardware, computerized business methods, wireless technologies, ultrasound technologies, financial solution systems and B2B solutions, telecommunications, voice and data compression, image processing, surgical, medical, mechanical and electro-mechanical devices.
His practice also includes preparation of patentability, non-infringement, invalidity and freedom-to-operate opinions, advice on copyright and trade secret matters, negotiation and drafting of IP-related agreements for e-commerce and technology clients, due diligence studies and IP portfolio management.
