NYSBA India Chapter Annual Meeting

Sujata Chaudhri spoke at the annual meeting of the India chapter of the International Section of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), which took place in Mumbai from Thursday, March 25 to Saturday, March 27. The meeting featured panels on topics such as IP protection in the United States and India, strategies for investing in the US and India, alternate dispute resolution, taxation, trusts and estates, compliance and trade issues, and immigration law. Sujata’s presentation featured the Bukhara case that was decided by the 2nd Circuit in 2008 relating to the protection in the US of the name of a well-known Indian restaurant chain that had not yet opened a restaurant in the US.
