CLL mourns the passing of Arthur J. Greenbaum

11.18.2017

The entire Cowan, Liebowitz & Latman family mourns the November 18, 2017 passing of its long-time partner and friend Arthur J. Greenbaum, a giant of the law who was esteemed by all who knew him.  For his 45 years at the bar, Arthur stood at the forefront of trademark law, representing clients in complex intellectual property matters with consummate skill, and was a trusted advisor to his colleagues.  Arthur was a mentor to generations of attorneys, acting as a sounding board to discuss legal strategies and difficult issues, as well as rendering practical advice on almost anything.  He eagerly shared his vast treasure of anecdotes and jokes with colleagues, clients, and even adversaries who came to respect and admire him.  Arthur played a primary role in establishing our firm’s culture and philosophy, and we will miss his contributions immeasurably.  Our deepest condolences to his wife Edna, his sons Daniel and Steven, his adored grandchildren, and the entire Greenbaum family.
