08.13.2026

We are pleased to welcome Daniel J. Gross to our Patent Practice.  Daniel counsels clients ranging from Fortune 100 to startup companies on a broad range of intellectual property matters, with a focus on patent and trademark prosecution and strategic counseling. He works closely with technology incubators and accelerators based in the New York metropolitan area to help emerging companies build cost-effective, commercially meaningful IP portfolios.

Drawing on his background in electrical and mechanical engineering and experience with software and AI-driven technologies, Daniel brings technical expertise and insight to his IP strategies. He has significant experience advising startup and growth-stage companies and collaborates with founders and technical teams to develop IP strategies that align with product roadmaps, fundraising efforts, and long-term business objectives. His approach emphasizes both legal rigor and practical business alignment—advancing prosecution efficiently while strengthening claim scope and overall portfolio value.

Daniel is a graduate of Fordham University School of Law, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, Order of the Coif, received an Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award, and was a Mary Daly Scholar. He holds a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from the Grove School of Engineering at the City College of New York and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University’s School of Engineering and Applied Science.
